The SMP snowboard is for snowboard adventurists and daydreamers looking to take this board and create their own way down any marked or unmarked trail searching for the next greatest sidehit, bank, or turn.
The SMP/s shape and technology provide riders worldwide with an alternative to the more traditional shapes. In addition, it still provides the support and technology to conquer every marked and unmarked trail on the map. The combination of Cam-Out Camber and Directional set-back shape allows you to descend the steepest of runs with ease, while the early rise in the nose and tail offers a forgiving surf-like float. The Sintered Speed Formula HD Base will give you plenty of speed to escape the unknown snow yeti you might encounter off the marked trail and get to that hidden pow stash first every time! If you are looking for an affordable all-mountain snowboard with a medium and forgiving flex, equipped with a top-shelf speed base, the SMP is your best bet!

Our Cam-Out Camber is basically a Trüe Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The result is a fun and responsive board that turns on the spot and is forgiving, even after that 713.5° landing!

Our most versatile flex pattern, combining Nitro’s signature pop with smooth response, allowing you to tear up the entire mountain.
Sidecut: Dual Degressive
This sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making it loose and playful. Nitro´s most forgiving sidecut.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Power Pods
Overlaying a tighter sidecut radius in the center of the board with a larger one towards tip and tail is creating our exclusive POWERPODS which have two amazing effects: On one hand, there is extended board width under the bindings, resulting in additional edge control, especially on hard and icy surfaces as well as simply less toe and heel drag for larger boots and flatter stance angles. On the other hand, our POWERPODS make the board super reactive and fast turning once it’s put on edge – while keeping it easy to control if ridden with less dynamics.

Our Powercore uses tip-to-tail poplar wood, providing lightweight strength and the perfect blend of flex, response and feel.

The wood used in every snowboard is what makes a snowboard a snowboard, the organic flex is something unique and special. We feel it important that we and everyone else respects the forests and the wood that is being used for the future of snowboard development, but more importantly the future of the planet and our Forests. We are proud to officially announce that all of our boards are made with wood cores harvested 100% from well-managed forests and we are therefor entitled to use the official FSC label on all of our snowboards.

All NITRO boards are factory-tuned with Kandahars 100% Natural Speed Wax, a fully biodegradable wax made of renewable resources.
