The Optisym is for all those snowboarders who enjoy fun, low-impact, friendly freestyle snowboarding, which means turning everything into a feature, even a groomed run or the knuckles of park landings, capable of switching from airtime tricks to flat ground tricks within seconds. This snowboarding style is probably the most relatable and achievable, so we decided to make a board specifically for this type of riding - for the dreamers – for the Optisymers.

The freestyle-friendly Optisym snowboard is equipped with the dream combination of Nitro/s Asymmetrical Twin shape and Cam-Out Camber, which provides the perfect flex and response for turning even the blandest terrain into an exciting blank canvas. The Optisym/s mid-wide shape reduces toe and heel drag, which is essential for progressing your carves, butters, and flatland tricks. The asym twin shape and Dual Degressive sidecut allow endless control when carving and navigating the entire mountain. Quick and high ollies are guaranteed with the Cam-Out Camber and Whiplash Core Profile, while the flex pattern in the nose and tail will enable you to hold butters like a pro. Our Cam-Out Camber is basically a Trüe Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The result is a fun and responsive board that turns on the spot and is forgiving even after that 713.5° landing!

These ultra-flexible boards can be tweaked any way you like from rails to butter tricks and they won’t wash out on you.

Sidecut: Dual Degressive

This sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail making it loose and playful. Nitro´s most forgiving sidecut.

Powercore II

The Powercore II is a tip-to-tail poplar wood core with additional beech wood stringers for unrivalled strength smooth response and insane snap.

Whiplash Core Profile

This profile features reduced thickness between the inserts with added meat outside your feet for maximum ollie power while maintaining a perfect press flex.

Powerwall

New construction of our Ureshred Polyurethane sidewall material integrated into the core strengthens the core on the heel side edge. The sidewall material has a curved design in the wood core a +20mm peak in-between the bindings. This additional sidewall material provides extra durability and dampening properties while improving the agility to get on and off your heel side edge. The Powerwall is found on the Optisym and Drink Sexy snowboard to give more support for flatland tricks and added durability for carving and knuckle tricks.

Ureshred Sidewalls

New on all Nitro park boards we are introducing our URESHRED sidewall: Just like Skate wheels and bushings these sidewalls are made from Polyurethane which makes them highly resistant against impact and abrasion as well as giving them excellent dampening characteristics. Together with our exclusive Railkiller Edges our URESHRED sidewalls provide the ultimate package of edge durability and feel.

Railkiller Edge

Your secret weapon for rails rocks and longevity! With its unique edge profile and an impact resistance of more than 200% compared to a standard edge – the Railkiller Edge is twice as thick and twice as strong. This proprietary construction can take on any rail challenge. Take a file to them or ride them hard and wear them down naturally this chunk of steel has enough meat for years of abuse.

Durability speed and low maintenance all in one ultra-clear base material - our FH Base takes the abuse of rail and urban riding like no other.

Together with ClimatePartner we are able to use specific and accurate tools and information to measure our carbon footprint in life cycle from production to end life of our snowboards. Our partnership with ClimatePartner allows us to strive to find more efficient ways to improve and reduce our carbon footprint every step of our products lifestyle and also allows us to offset our current carbon footprint to make our snowboards 100% Carbon Neutral by investing into climate change projects and solutions. Reducing rethinking and compensanting for CO2 emissions is just start.

FSC Certified 100% wood from well-managed forests

The wood used in every snowboard is what makes a snowboard a snowboard the organic flex is something unique and special. We feel it important that we and everyone else respects the forests and the wood that is being used for the future of snowboard development but more importantly the future of the planet and our Forests. We are proud to officially announce that all of our boards are made with wood cores harvested 100% from well-managed forests and we are therefor entitled to use the official FSC label on all of our snowboards.
